Nerang Medical Centre & Skin Clinic offers on-site audiology and hearing services for all ages, close to home in Nerang. Whether you’ve noticed changes in your hearing, have blocked or troublesome ears, or are managing tinnitus, our audiologist provides hearing assessments, ear wax microsuction, tinnitus and balance checks, and hearing aid services. Services are provided by Vaughn Shelton, our audiologist working with Hearing Specialists. We’re open 7 days a week, with free parking inside My Centre Nerang.

Our audiology services
Hearing tests and assessments:
Hearing assessments for ages 4 and up, to check how well you’re hearing and identify any changes.
Ear wax removal (microsuction):
Gentle, effective removal of ear wax using microsuction, plus custom-fitted ear plugs.
Tinnitus and balance assessments:
Assessment and support for tinnitus (ringing or noises in the ears) and balance-related concerns.
Hearing aids:
Fitting of new hearing aids, plus adjustments, repairs and accessories for existing devices.
Pre-employment and DVA hearing tests:
Hearing tests for work requirements, and assessments for Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients.
What to expect
Your audiologist will ask about your hearing history and any concerns, look in your ears, and carry out the assessments relevant to you. They’ll explain the results clearly and talk through any recommended next steps or options. Appointments are unhurried, and you’re welcome to bring a family member along.
Fees & Funding
Some hearing services are private, while eligible pensioners and DVA cardholders may be able to access subsidised services and hearing aids through the Australian Government Hearing Services Program. Costs vary depending on the service and your eligibility – please ask our reception team about fees and funding when you book, and see [Bulk Billing & Fees].
