Our children's health services

Childhood immunisations:
Routine childhood vaccinations help protect against serious illnesses. Our team can keep your child’s immunisations up to date and explain each stage of the schedule. Vaccines on the National Immunisation Program are free for eligible children. (See [Immunisation] for the full schedule and adult vaccines.)

Health and development checks:
Regular checks let us monitor your child’s growth, development and overall wellbeing and they’re a good time to talk through nutrition, sleep, and any questions you have, including before starting kindergarten or school.

Growth and development:
We help with the early identification and management of developmental concerns, supporting children as they reach their physical, emotional and cognitive milestones.

Behavioural and learning concerns:
Our GPs can assess and support children experiencing behavioural or learning concerns such as autism, ADHD, anxiety and bedwetting. We work closely with parents and, where appropriate, refer to paediatricians or allied health professionals for further assessment and care.

Everyday childhood illnesses:
From coughs, colds and ear infections to allergies and skin conditions, our doctors care for a wide range of common childhood illnesses with evidence-based care.

What to expect

Our practice is family-friendly, with pram access and free parking inside My Centre Nerang. Please bring your child’s Medicare card and immunisation record (the “blue book” or your Medicare immunisation history). If you have more than one concern, or your child is due for vaccinations, it can help to mention this when booking so we can allow enough time.
