Immunisations & Vaccinations in Nerang, Gold Coast
Nerang Medical Centre & Skin Clinic provides immunisations and vaccinations for all ages, following the Australian National Immunisation Program (NIP) schedule. Vaccines funded under the NIP are free for eligible patients – including childhood vaccinations – and we also offer private (non-funded) vaccines. You can book online or call us, and walk-ins are welcome during opening hours. We’re open 7 days a week.
Who it's for
Babies, children, teenagers and adults across Nerang and the Gold Coast – whether your child is due for their routine vaccines, you’re an adult catching up or staying up to date, you’re pregnant, or you need a flu shot for the season.
Vaccinations we offer
Childhood immunisations:
Routine childhood vaccines help protect against a range of serious illnesses and are free for eligible children under the National Immunisation Program. We can keep your child’s schedule on track and explain each stage. (See [Child Health].)
Adult and older-adult immunisations:
We provide vaccinations for adults, including those funded under the NIP for eligible groups (for example, certain vaccines for older adults). We’ll help you understand what you may be eligible for.
Seasonal flu (influenza) vaccination:
Annual flu vaccination is recommended before the winter season. It’s free under the NIP for eligible groups (such as people aged 65 and over, pregnant women, young children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people with certain medical conditions), and available privately for others.
Vaccinations during pregnancy:
Some vaccinations are recommended during pregnancy to help protect both mother and baby. We can talk through what’s recommended for you. (See [Antenatal Care] and [Women’s Health].)
Catch-up immunisations:
If you or your child have missed vaccines, we can review your history and arrange a catch-up schedule.
Travel vaccinations:
If you’re travelling overseas, we can discuss the vaccinations and health advice you may need for your destination.
What to expect
Let us know who the vaccination is for and which vaccines are needed when you book, so we can allow enough time. Please bring your Medicare card and any immunisation records (for children, the “blue book”). After your vaccination, we’ll usually ask you to wait a short time so we can make sure you’re feeling well, and we’ll record your vaccines to the Australian Immunisation Register.
