How we support you
Mental health assessment:
A GP will take time to understand your symptoms, history and what you need, in an unhurried, confidential appointment.
GP Mental Health Treatment Plan:
For eligible patients, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Treatment Plan (also called a Mental Health Care Plan) and provide a referral. This gives access to Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. A gap fee may apply depending on the psychologist’s fee. Plans usually start with a referral for the first sessions, then a GP review before further sessions.
A team around you:
We can refer to our on-site psychologist or to a psychologist, psychiatrist or allied health professional of your choice, so your care is coordinated.
Ongoing review:
We follow up to review how you’re going and adjust your plan as needed.
Continuity through MyMedicare:
From 1 November 2025, Medicare rebates for Better Access psychology sessions require your plan and referral to come from a GP at your MyMedicare-registered practice or your usual GP. As a MyMedicare-registered practice, we can support this continuity of care.
